Students with Different Identities and Worldviews Have Different Perceptions and Emotional Experiences When They Encounter a Politically Incorrect Text

Abstract
This study investigates the cognitive and emotional experiences of students when they encounter texts by white, male, colonial authors in university classrooms. We found that various factors (e.g., political ideology, holding a minority identity) are related to how problematic students perceive the texts, their emotional experiences and levels of interest.
