Face As a Multidimensional Construct: Cross-Cultural Validation of the Loss of Face Scale in Taiwan and the United States

Face culture is salient in many Asian countries and face concern can also be observed worldwide. Although traditionally considered a unidimensional construct, this study suggests that the construct of face can be better captured by its multidimensional features. Different aspects of face may have different psychological implications in different cultures.
