Abstract
This study examined how cultural values influenced U.S. and Taiwanese mothers' perceptions of internalizing symptoms in youth using a vignette study design. Results indicated cross-cultural differences in ratings of youth symptoms and functional impairment. Adherence to East Asian cultural values significantly mediated the pathway of country and mothers' ratings.
