Good Job.: The Effect of Punctuation on Positive Congratulatory Text

We intend to study the effect of punctuation as emotive cues on positively charged messages using a 3x3 mixed model ANOVA. We anticipate finding that congratulatory messages without any punctuation or containing a period will be perceived as increasingly cold and hostile, which has implications for understanding text-based communication.
