Familismo and Race Are (Primarily) Independently Associated with Earliest Memory Reports in Undergraduate Women

Abstract

We examined earliest memory reports by race (group) and familismo. Significant main effects were found on memory ratings along with one significant interaction. Findings suggest that familismo and group are mostly independently associated with earliest memory ratings. Future research should examine other potential moderators of the observed associations.
