The Learning Theory of Placebo Effects: Main Assumptions and Their Implications for Research and Clinical Practice

The talk introduces the very first comprehensive and up-to-date learning theory of placebo effects based on the current state of the art in placebo studies and the existing theoretical accounts of placebo effects. The main assumptions of the theory are presented together with challenges, future study directions, and clinical implications.
