Abstract

This research proposal aims to develop and validate a measure of goal disengagement using two studies. The Goal Disengagement Scale is designed to assess cognitive, affective, and behavioural disengagement. The importance of this new scale lies in a finer understanding of the influence of these facets on the disengagement process.
