Modeling Forgiveness in the Family: Relations between Mothers', Fathers', and Young Children's Forgiveness

Forgiveness is crucial for relationship maintenance. This study examined the relations between parents' and young children's forgiveness. Results of structural equation modelling showed that both mothers' and fathers' forgiveness were positively associated with children's forgiveness. The strength of the father-child link, however, is stronger than that of the mother-child link.
