Searching for Acceptance: Afro-Latines Report Greater Acceptance and Less Rejection from Other Afro-Latines Compared to Latin and Black Ingroups

Abstract
A mixed methods study was conducted to explore Afro-Latin experiences of ingroup acceptance and rejection. Participants reported that Afro-Latines were the most accepting ingroup, followed by Black/African Americans, followed by Latines. Likewise, there were fewer experiences of ingroup rejection from the Afro-Latin ingroup compared to Latin and Black ingroups.
