Abstract
Despite strong intentions to succeed many people fail to reach their goals. We attempt to bridge the theoretical approach to motivation proposed in Self-Determination Theory and the self-regulation techniques proposed by Fantasy Realization Theory by empirically testing the influence of goal motivation and goal-specific needs experiences on action crises.
