Abstract
This study will investigate resting-state changes in blood oxygenation across the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Person-centered analyses will identify unique patterns of resting-state neural activity and examine their association with measures of empathy and internalizing symptoms. Resting-state activation may facilitate enhanced empathy but also potentiate vulnerability to internalized distress.
