The Dark Side of Organizational Embeddedness: Predicting Violent Extremism and Causing Unethical Behavior

Organizational embeddedness predicts well-being and performance among American employees but also, we find, dedication to violence among members of extremist groups. This inspired further investigation of the "dark side" of embeddedness which revealed its effects depend on the organization's ethical climate-painting a nuanced portrait of the construct.
