Abstract
In risky drinkers and patients with alcohol use disorder, COVID-19 stress was correlated with drinking problems at baseline. Additionally, reduced COVID-19 stress following intervention was associated with diminished alcohol cravings and stress hormone levels, suggesting the significant impact of COVID-19 stress on alcohol misuse and recovery.
