Abstract
Maximizing is the tendency to seek the best alternative and not settle with a "good enough" option (Schwartz, 2002; Simon, 1955). Adolescents with higher maximizing tendency experienced higher career choice anxiety, higher decidedness, and reported less career exploration time. Qualitative results explored reasons behind maximizing tendencies and feelings of anxiety.
