Support Communication within Couples: Match of Support Standard and Provision Shapes the Judgment of Responsiveness

We investigated whether romantic partners judge the provider's responsiveness based on how much support standard matches provision using profile metrics from Ideal Standard Model. Support standard-provision match predicted the judgment of responsiveness for both recipients and providers. We provided insights on bridging couple members' perceptions on provider's responsiveness via communication.
