Everyday Belonging: Communal Goals As a Route to Bolstering Student's STEM Motivation

We consider how naturalistic observations about undergraduate STEM student's experiences of belonging regulation (i.e., specific experiences which facilitate feelings of fitting in (or not), such as collaborative work, shared identities, or environmental cues) are associated with communal goals, feelings of belonging, and science motivation to inform social-belonging interventions.
