Examining the Effects of Cell Phones and Notifications on Attention and Working Memory

Abstract
We examined whether the type of cellphone notification, auditory or tactile, effected sustained attention and working memory capacity. It was hypothesized that those in the tactile notification condition would have negative effects on both attention and working memory.
