Abstract

Critical conversation spaces (CCSs) provide Black girls a context in which to meaning-make. We qualitatively documented a 3-week CCS. (1) Gendered-racial identity affirmation, (2) awareness, joy, and growth, and (3) community responsiveness and commitment were the themes we developed and used to revise and expand the program.
