Bias and Lapses Control Vigilance Decrement but Not Sensitivity, Again: A Preregistered Replication Study

Abstract

A preregistered replication study examined the contribution of sensitivity losses, bias shifts and attentional lapses to the vigilance decrement in a signal detection task. The results, again, demonstrate that bias shift and attentional lapses account for the largest part of the vigilance decrement.
