Abstract

Helicopter parenting, an approach to parenting characterized by parental overinvolvement, overprotection, and warmth was found to significantly predict academic entitlement above and beyond other personality traits, academic motivation, and GPA. This finding adds to current knowledge regarding the association between helicopter parenting and academic entitlement.
