Abstract
Using linear modeling, we examined whether sex and pubertal timing interact with social and emotional self-efficacy to predict internalizing symptomatology. Following a trend-level interaction among sex, pubertal timing, and emotional self-efficacy, post-hoc analyses suggest that emotional self-efficacy interacts with pubertal timing to predict anxiety symptoms in girls, but not boys.
