Abstract
Interpersonal neural synchrony (INS) occurs when neural activity synchronizes between partners during social interactions. Our results reveal that INS during parent-child competitive and cooperative gameplay is predicted by another biological marker of social processing, methylation of the oxytocin receptor gene (OXTRm) in parents, regardless of degree of behavioral coordination.
