Attenuating Motivated Reasoning to Foster Early Climate Change Science Education

Motivated reasoning is a common, though insufficiently objective, way that many adults use to understand complex science topics like climate change. This research explores the extent to which this is true of middle- and high-school-age learners. Results are expected to inform future development of curricula, pedagogy, and teacher education.
