Free Collaboration Prevents Misinformation Acceptance

This study contrasts individual performance and two collaborative methods (free-for-all and turn-taking) in misinformation rejection. Results revealed that the discussion opportunities offered in the free-for-all method minimized the misinformation recalled due to correction and error pruning mechanisms. These results suggest that free-for-all collaboration might help prevent misinformation transmission.
