Abstract
Women with premenstrual mood disturbance (PMD) are prone to negative affect across the menstrual cycle. The current study investigated the role of emotion regulation and oral contraceptives (OCs) in this relationship. Results indicate that PMD acts through emotion regulation to influence negative affect, and use of OCs strengthens this relationship.
