Development of a Self-Report Measure of Attachment Security

A psychometric evaluation of the Secure Attachment Scale (SAS) was conducted using data from a community sample (N=538). Factory analysis supported four SAS subscales. These subscales were internally consistent and correlations with measures of related constructs were supportive of their construct validity. The SAS is a promising measure.
