The Influence of Coherent Idea on Sense of Understanding Science

Abstract
We leverage "Aha!" experience and hypothesize that embedding a remotely associated idea (RAI) in a scientific causal mechanism can induce sense of understanding science. In three experiments, we showed that RAI fostered a feeling that the explanation "makes sense", although it was not an integral part of the scientific argument.
