Abstract
This study provides evidence that feeling separated from own's body during sexual activities, a specific type of dissociation symptoms, is an important, core symptom that impacts an individual's sexual and mental health in survivors of sexual trauma. Gender-related shame appears to have a stronger impact on men survivors than women.
