Interparental Conflict and Cortisol Recovery: The Moderating Role of Child Temperament

Abstract
The current study examined child cortisol recovery in the context of interparental conflict (IPC) with negative affectivity (NA) as a potential moderator. Children with high NA showed a recovery pattern consistent with the differential susceptibility model. Children with low NA showed a recovery pattern consistent with the steeling effect.
