Diet-Related Undermining in Older Couples with Type 2 Diabetes: Reciprocity, Dietary Behaviors, and Gender

Using online survey data from 296 older married individuals managing diabetes, we replicated past research suggesting that spousal diet-related undermining is relatively uncommon. We added to past work by finding a moderate degree of reciprocity among spouses in these attempts and that one's own dietary behaviors predicted engagement in undermining.
