Abstract
This study tested brooding and reflective rumination as moderators of the relationship between threat and deprivation-related experiences of early adversity and depressive symptoms in 839 young adults. Both brooding and reflection exacerbated the effects of threat on depressive symptoms, but did not moderate the relationship between deprivation and depressive symptoms.
