Abstract

We examined boredom proneness and COVID-19 mitigation behaviours. Boredom proneness was negatively correlated with adherence to COVID-19 mitigation behaviours, an effect strongest in fully vaccinated middle-aged adults. Highly boredom prone individuals are less likely to engage in COVID-19 preventive measures, an association moderated by age and vaccination status.
