Abstract
The study showed that incremental mindset of personality was associated with greater forgiveness of both singular and repeated transgressions. In the case of singular transgressions, perceived behavioral stability, not controllability, mediated this association; but in the case of repeated transgressions, neither perceived behavioral stability nor controllability mediated this relationship.
