Neighborhood Deprivation Moderates the within-Person Relationship between Cannabis Use and Substance Free Activity Engagement

Abstract

Neighborhood deprivation (NDI) confers unique risk for substance use. The current study assessed cannabis use via EMA, and found that the relationship between substance free activity engagement and cannabis use was moderated by NDI (p<.05). Individual-level measures of SES did not exhibit this pattern, but were associated with other metrics.
