Abstract

We investigated the effects of subjective socioeconomic status and relative deprivation on compulsive sexual behavior, and the mediating effect of shame on these relationships among young adults in South Korea. Results indicated that only relative deprivation predicted compulsive sexual behavior, and this relationship was significantly mediated by shame.
