Abstract
The current study investigated factors that contribute to relational instability in young adults. Participants (N=606) were undergraduate students who completed an online survey. Multiple regression analyses indicated that childhood maltreatment, emotion regulation difficulties, and negative urgency significantly predicted relational instability over and above the effects of gender and negative affect.
