Abstract

In this study, we explored the role of the eyebrows when processing facial expressions of emotion.  Using an online psychological experiment site, www.gorilla.sc, fifty participants viewed 36 different facial expression stimuli. For certain emotions, the eyebrows are either critical or unimportant for accurate recognition.  Keywords: eye/sunglasses, eyebrows, emotion recognition
