Abstract

Traditional early-childhood education is "top-down," neglecting to account for the nervous system in developing emotional regulation. This study examines the impact of teaching somatic-based social-emotional learning in preschool. I will use teacher reports and naturalistic observation to study the impact of the 8-week curriculum on emotional regulation and classroom behavior.
