Abstract
This study examined sex differences in spatial/mechanical tilt, based on differences in spatial/mechanical abilities and academic abilities (verbal, math). Males showed spatial/mechanical tilt, indicating spatial/mechanical strength, whereas females showed academic tilt, indicating verbal or math strength. Results support investment theories and sex differences in vocational interests for things versus people.
