Rumination and Experiential Avoidance As Predictors of Depressive Mood: An Ecological Momentary Assessment Study

We used ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to investigate rumination and experiential avoidance as predictors of depressive mood within high-risk young adults. Results showed that momentary rumination and experiential avoidance significantly predicted depressive mood. Additionally, there was no significant interaction effect between momentary rumination and experiential avoidance in predicting depressive mood.
