Association between Caregiving Responsibility and Depression during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Longitudinal Evidence from US Adults Older Than 55 Years Old

In this study, we examined whether having caregiving responsibility predicts a subsequent increase during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants who had caregiving responsibility had a more rapid increase and decrease in depression symptoms over time (estimate= -0.017, standard error= 0.007; p <0.05) than did those participants who did not.
