Mental Health Advocacy Training Effectively Prepares Students to Practice Outreach

This qualitative project analyzed the topic, audience, and delivery modality of outreach projects designed by students participating in a mental health peer advocacy program. The most common outreach topics were mental health challenges in agriculture, and self-care and stress management. Peer advocacy participation is shown to decrease mental health symptoms.
