Abstract
We examine changes over time in Americans' scores on two performance-based measures of emotional intelligence. In Study 1, we examine performance on the Diagnostic Analysis of Nonverbal Accuracy (DANVA) from 1989 to 2019. In Study 2, we examine performance on the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) from 2001 to 2019.
