The Space of Thought

In the novel Haptic Match Task, blindfolded individuals distinguish relative size exclusively with haptic information. Objects held far are significantly perceived as smaller than objects held near, illustrating perception is multi-modal. We live, but also think, in three-dimensional space, and how we think is tied to constraints of our environment.
