When We Feel Art: Interoception and Aesthetic Appreciation

The present study will examine the relationship between cardiac interoception and art, utilizing a novel method that compares objective heart rate to various subjective measures. In a museum setting, we hypothesize those with greater aesthetic appreciation will be more interoceptive and that the presence of art will progressively improve interoception.
