Causes of Academic Dishonesty in Non-Traditional Students: Effects of Situational and Personal Variables

The study examined how situational variables as manipulated in a vignette experiment (knowledge of fellow students' cheating and the opportunity to cheat) and personal variables assessed via survey measures (goal orientation and the Dark Triad) are associated with beliefs about academic cheating and self-reported cheating in distance university students.
