Impression Management May be Better Assessed in Police Officers By Mmpi-2 Than M-Pulse

Abstract
Police officer candidates are often driven by a sense of social responsibility and evaluated on emotional controls. We examined the usefulness of M-PULSE and MMPI-2 measures of social responsibility and emotional controls for predicting impression management in officers. Results suggest the MMPI-2 better predicts future employment issues for police officers.
