Abstract

This study examined the link between religiosity, spirituality, and the use of specific emotion regulation strategies in depressed individuals. Religiosity and spirituality were positively correlated with positive refocusing, refocus on planning, reappraisal, and putting into perspective, indicating that religion and spirituality may offset emotion dysregulation that characterizes depression.
