Examining the Relation between Oral Contraceptive Use, Self-Control, and Self-Regulation

Oral contraceptives (OCs) include artificial hormones, which may influence physiological systems – including cognitive processes. We examined the relation between OC use, self-control, and self-regulation. Results indicated no significant difference in self-control, however we did find a difference in self-regulation, with OC users reporting significantly greater locomotion than non-OC users.
