Naturalness Shapes Support of Sustainable Technology

Psychological barriers to supporting new sustainability technologies emerge when people see them as risky, unfamiliar, and less beneficial. In two U.S. studies (N = 2010) across sixteen technologies, we found that how "nature-like" technology is perceived to be shapes public endorsement decisions, expanding decision frameworks for climate change and risk.
